The Foundation is providing €750,000 over 3 years to fund research with the aim of producing studies that will have a systemic long-term impact on education and equality, as well as informing our internal decisions on which projects to support. We expect the effects of Covid-19 on the educational outcomes of disadvantaged children to be an important area of future interest for the PSE researchers. We are also examining a range of other projects to mitigate the longer-term impact of the pandemic on youth and student populations. The research chair’s steering committee: Luc Behaghel (PSE Professor, Research Director at INRAE) and Julien Grenet (PSE Professor, Senior Researcher at CNRS), Fabienne Rosenwald (Director of the DEPP), Thierry Rocher (Assistant to the deputy-director in charge of evaluations and performance at DEPP), and Amir Sharifi, Raphaëlle Muhlmann-Eytan and Hadia Kebe (members of the Ardian Foundation). MORE INTENSIVE SUPPORT FOR CHARITIES The Foundation is continuing its transition to a smaller group of around a dozen partner organizations that will receive more intensive support – funding but also practical help to strengthen their organizations and infrastructure with a special focus on digital capabilities. Many of our partner organizations faced major difficulties during the first wave of the pandemic, so the Foundation pro- vided extra support through a dedicated fund of €180,000 to help these chari- ties and their beneficiaries withstand the immediate impacts of Covid-19. Finally, to encourage and support Ardian staff in their personal philanthropic efforts, we are doubling our budget to fund employee projects. Employees can discover and support their colleagues’ charitable work through our recently launched company-wide app, Click & Give.
